As the BED Grows

If you still haven’t gotten into BED with us, you may be missing out on the major content expansions we uploaded for Summer 2018.

Today I’m excited to announce that 20 new BDSM illustrations from our venerable past were just added, some of them reaching back into the early 19th century.  It’s a panoply of pleasing visuals which chronicle how people perceived BDSM long before it was ever called BDSM.  Much of this art preceded the cultural awareness that BDSM was an identity.  It’s touching to see how kinky folk of yore enjoyed the hell out of many of the same things that we do today! Spankings, whippings, bondage, and femdoms — they were all there and now they are here too.

We’ve also been adding meaty new content to our Reading Library.  Gloria and SkyeWriter have been busy reaching out to important voices in the BDSM/Fetish and Alt.Sex Communities to archive content we hope will be useful to all BDSM/Fetish/Leather and Alt.Sex educators.

Last week, Dr. David Ley’s incisive article on the Cuckolding Fetish helped us to launch a new section called Teachable Topic Resources.  This week, I’ve donated the two most popular blogs I posted here in 2017.

We just added two amazing articles to the Library, courtesy of our own Gloria Brame!

One is an article on developing your personal skills and growing your own authenticity–something that is equally important to both beginners and those who are more experienced. Don’t miss the practice exercises at the end!

Put Your Toys Away and Build Your BDSM Skills

The second is an article on increasing and maintaining community well-being by eliminating the spread of false and cliche-based messages about BDSM. This one is particularly important, I think, as it’s important for those of us in the community to be our own best form of representation.

5 Cliches About BDSM That BDSMers Should Stop Repeating
