She has a wonderful sense of humor that comes out in her books. I found it difficult to put this one down. As a Southern boy-raised Protestant, I loved the many glimpses into the Jewish life style. I found it both fascinating and educating.

Her unvarnished memoir of a child of holocaust survivors and the coming of age journey in Brooklyn was unexpected. I sincerely believe this book moves her writing from the “how-to” variety to full blown literature. Touching, funny and evocative it moved me to tears and made me laugh out loud. Read it!
