Sex education is a human right. Just like medical information. You have the right to know your body, what it can and cannot do safely, and how to take care of it so it thrives. That’s what Pleasure Literacy means to me: understanding your own erotic truth well enough to communicate it, advocate for it, and live it without shame.
It isn’t enough to know the bad stuff — the diseases, the dysfunction, the dangers. True knowledge encompasses the good stuff. The pleasures of the body. The bonds of intimacy. The joy of life itself in moments of pure happiness and ecstasy.
I wrote about the censorship problem back in August — how sexual health content gets flagged as pornography, how sex educators are shadowbanned, how adults can’t find the information they need. That post announced my intention to build this library. Today is the OFFICIAL launch of the Pleasure Literacy Emporium. The links are all working, we have 5 short volumes waiting for you. It’s a library of short, focused ebooks that draw from my decades of clinical work and research. Some of the ebooks are free. Others range from $1.99 to $49.99. Everything in the Library is a downloadable PDF that can belong to you forever or be deleted once you’ve read them.
Why now?
This past March, I went for a routine mammogram. After 6 weeks of intensive testing, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I opted for a double mastectomy. Breasts be damned. Unman the torpedos!
Cancer clarified the next chapter of my life. I’ve been endlessly censored since 1987. My books have been restricted in libraries and banned in several countries. Amazon shadow-bans some titles. Facebook shadow-bans my professional content. The best way to ensure my content will reach the adults who need evidence-based information on sex is to put my energies into building my own library. Accessible to adults. Uncensored. Straightforward. Although it has been a tumultuous journey since my July surgery, I never stopped working. Writing sustains me emotionally.
So What’s in the Emporium?
I’m an avid researcher of all things sex-related, and a dedicated sex therapist to adults dealing with any kind of significant sex issues. If it affects sexual function, I’ve researched it.
Expect to see a broad range of sex issues in the Emporium! Whether it’s waking up your libido, finding a compatible partner, or learning about fetishism, submission, and kink in general, I’m just getting started.
Get information you didn’t know you needed. Check out the first 5 ebooks. They cover some of the most common problems people bring to my office.
- Affirmations to rebuild self-esteem for men and for women
- How to heal psychogenic erectile dysfunction
- Relationship repair strategies
I have a full agenda lined up. Next, a free giveaway for submissive women, and then a guide for women 50+ on reclaiming their passionate side.
Every purchase supports the costs of building the Emporium, publishing new works, and making my knowledge accessible.
